According to Louis's nephew Tom Ranger his uncle Lewis used to be a huntsman but later became a signalman on the railway.
The census for 1881 shows Louis as aged 22. born in Seal Kent, a Railway Signalman and living in Shipbourne Road, Tonbridge, Kent.
We have a photo of whom we think is Louis with his wife and family taken in the early 1900's when they were living in Lewisham Kent.
