Shown in the 1851 census as aged 67 born in Sevenoaks, an Agricultural Labourer, living at Gatts Cottages, Little Underriver, Seal, Kent, with his wife Jane and two of their children Daniel aged 32 and George aged 23, both Ag labs and unmarried. Also staying at their home were two children shown as their grandchildren. Jane Bennett aged 4 and William Bennett age 2 both born in Seal Kent We are unsure which daughter of John and Jane is the mother. It is possible that Rebecca is the mother but not proven. There is a Rebecca Bennett aged 25 shown in the index for 1851 living in Seal. This Rebecca would be the correct age more research needed. ⁵⁹
